Home Finding Outbound
Home finding is a key component to feeling comfortable in another country and making the transition. We are here to guide you through the process since it varies so much from country to country. For example, some countries expect you to pay your rent for the entire year in advance, and others require you to pay your rent weekly. Place2Place works with destination service providers in each country that are carefully chosen and meet our quality standards ensuring the same level of services that are provided in the United States.
Upon reviewing the needs assessment of the assignee/individual/family, we select a property agent who, in collaboration with our local country consultant, will create a viewing list that suits the requirements within an authorized budget.
Our local consultant coducts a meeting with the assignee and discusses residential districts, real estate terminology, deposits and commissions, as well as the process of securing a lease and documentation needed.
Our local consultant, the assignee, and the property agent, will view the selected properties. The consultant acts as the assignee's advocate, providing an independent and objective point of view to assist in understanding the relative convenience/suitability of properties the family will be viewing.
A second viewing of short-listed properties is conducted to help the assignee make a final choice.
Upon selecting a property, the consultant liaises with the agent to advise on reasonable requests made by the assignee, to include an offer to the landlord.
Review all legal documents prior to submission to the prospective landlord. Negotiations with the landlord are managed and moderated by the consultant/realtor.
That without experimentation, a willingness to ask questions and try new things, we shall surely become static, repetitive, moribund.
